At The North Pole Experience, we believe the holidays are about so much more than gifts under the tree—they’re about giving, connecting, and creating moments that last far beyond the season. What started as a passion for Christmas lights has grown into a mission to spread joy across our community. Every bulb strung, every scene built, and every elf suit sewn is our way of giving back and bringing a little extra magic to families who visit each year.

A big part of this mission comes from our parents, who instilled in us the importance of giving back during the holidays. They loved this season, not for what they received, but for the joy they could create for others—and that spirit shaped who we are. While neither of them are with us anymore, continuing this tradition has become our way of honoring them. We carry their legacy forward with every smile we see, every family that makes a new tradition here, and every bit of wonder we’re able to share with the community.

What started up in Chicago over 25 years ago took a long hiatus as we relocated to Florida. However when our mother got sick a couple years back we knew we had to bring this tradition back for her.  She unfortunately passed just about a month before we turned the lights back on however we could always feel her giving advice, motivation and opinions on the display.  She would constantly remind us that the lights and display are about more than just what you see on the surface.  Experiencing the magic through children’s eyes, and making memories and new traditions with the community have pushed us to continue this in her honor.  We feel her still today in every detail of the display.

 

She had 2 quotes she would share quite regularly that we remind ourselves of often;

 

“It’s not what’s under the tree that matters, it’s who’s around it”

 

“May you never be too grown to search the skies on Christmas Eve”
